Germany has donated the vehicles, a document verification device, flashlights, detectors and endoscopes worth around 850,000 euros to the BiH Border Police, which will facilitate the work of border police officers, but also help in more efficient border control. The ceremony, held at the Border Police headquarters, was attended by the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Selmo Cikotic, the German Ambassador, Margret Webber, and the Director of the BiH BP, Zoran Galic.

Minister
Cikotić said that the BiH Border Police has quality staff and that the donated
equipment will greatly contribute to the more effective protection of the state
border.
Ambassador
Webber announced that the Government of Germany will be a partner of GPBiH and support its
further development in the following period. Many activities have so far
been implemented with the support of the Government of Germany with the aim of
operational strengthening of the agency, and thus increasing both general and border
security in the border zone and at the airports in BiH.
Director
Galić pointed out that the donated equipment will be used for border
surveillance, which will also contribute to the fight against illegal
migration.
